KC 203(HSD)
Description
KC 203 is a high-quality viscous modifier concentrate made from the hydrogenated styrene-diene solid polymer KC 520. This high-quality product is designed to produce multigrade oil formulations that meet the stringent performance requirements of modern diesel and gasoline engines. It is manufactured to exacting specifications and is miscible with commonly used base stocks.
KC 203 is a star-shaped polymer concentrate with maximum polymer content and viscosity that can be processed in most plants.
Manifestation
KC 203 has excellent permanent shear stability (15 SSI, designed to meet the latest shear stability requirements), excellent low-temperature performance when using appropriate pour point inhibitors, and optimal contribution to high-temperature viscosity for the formulation of diesel and gasoline lubricants.

Handling/Precautions
Localized high temperatures should be avoided during the heating process, especially when the product cannot be stirred, and electrical, steam, or hot oil heating systems (e.g., 2 bar(g) or 30 psig of low-pressure steam) with a maximum temperature of 120°C/250'F are recommended. For safety reasons, the use of free water must be avoided when handling products above 95' C/205"F. Free water is always detrimental to product quality.
