KC 6900 (PAMA)
Description
KC6900 is a solution of polymethacrylate in highly refined mineral oil, it is a viscosity index improver with high shear stability designed for low freezing point aviation hydraulic fluids.
Product performance
The molecular weight distribution is narrow, it has good low-temperature fluidity, excellent shear stability, can effectively improve the viscosity index, and it has excellent filtration performance and demulsibility resistance.
Product Usage
It is suitable for the modulation of hydraulic oil, especially low freezing point aviation hydraulic oil, which can effectively improve the viscosity index of the oil, and can be used in the production of shock absorber oil and grinding oil. On the premise of ensuring shear stability, it can effectively save the cost of product formulation.
Evaluation of physical and chemical indicators
10% (mass fraction) KC-6900 was added to Dalian HV150 base oil, heated to 60 °C ~ 70 °C, stirred evenly, and the shear stability index (ultrasonic method) and increasing capacity of the sample were determined. The main physicochemical indexes of KC-6900 viscosity index improver are shown in the table.

Handling/Precautions
For transportation, storage and handling, see SH/T0164, net weight: 170 kg/drum, packed
in 200 liters metal drum, non-flammable, non-explosive, non-corrosive.
Best mixing temperature: 50-60°C, storage temperature below 60°C, avoid repeated heating,
away from heat source.
